Federation of Small Businesses
The UK’s Leading Business Organisation
WHATEVER YOUR BUSINESS THE FSB WILL WORK FOR YOU
The FSB is the UK’s Leading Business Organisation promoting and protecting the interests of the self employed and owners of small businesses. Formed in 1974, the FSB has over 200,000 members across 33 regions and 230 branches in the UK.
The lobbying arm applies pressure on MPs, government and civil servants in Parliament on behalf of the membership. Regionally based staff work to further FSB influence. The FSB also lobbies politicians in their constituencies and puts pressure on Local Authorities in support of small businesses locally.
As a ‘right of membership’, the FSB Legal Benefits Package and FSB Care benefits are available to all FSB members.
The Legal Benefits include access to the FSB Legal Advice Line which is available 24 hours a day all year round. In 2009, over 100,000 calls were handled. Most calls were relating to employment law but other areas of enquiry included contracts, debt collection, taxation, health & safety and criminal prosecutions.
FSB Care provides an exclusive member benefit for serious health conditions. This support includes access to your own personal nurse adviser who will be there for you to provide practical information and emotional support for as long as you need it.
In addition, the FSB provides a commercial advantage to the membership through business partnerships with market leading corporate organisations. The FSB members can take advantage of Financial Services, Business Services and Medical Services.
