Offshore marine renewables needs to optimise to reduce costs and become competitive with other energy systems. The development of satellite applications provides a real opportunity to drive cost reduction in this vital sector.

The Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is delivering a workshop to highlight the key challenges facing the offshore marine renewables sector. The workshop is seeking innovative technology solutions from other sectors to provide new satellite based applications to support the offshore marine energy industry.

The event will be hosted by Portsmouth University’s Institute of Industrial Research and the South Coast Satellite Applications Centre of Excellence, on 7th July, with guest speakers from industry, Satellite Applications Catapult, Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult and industry leaders.
